Caitlin Tinnon

Caitlin is the owner of Indigo Studio and an instructor. Caitlin has been a personal trainer and a group fitness instructor since 2002 and yoga instructor since 2009. She began teaching group fitness at Butler University where she studied journalism and theater. Through teaching fitness  she discovered yoga. A dancer and athlete drawn to the physical challenge, she quickly found her yoga practice transforming her life. Caitlin has studied various forms of Hatha yoga in Costa Rica, Thailand, Chicago, and Denver. Her teaching style for yoga is a fusion of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and vinyasa flow that encourages self discovery through yoga asanas, meditation, philosophy, and pranayama. Caitlin offers her immense gratitude to Tom Quinn, Clair Mark, Quinn Kearney, and Geri Blier at Yogaview. Their teachings assisted and inspired her to find her voice as a teacher.

Colleen Luxem Kuhlmann

Colleen’s relationship with dance started long, long ago, the first time leg warmers were the hottest accessory in the studio.  Her journey through dance has included modern, jazz, hip-hop, and a few ballroom classes forced upon her husband.  She found and fell in love with Yoga Booty Ballet in 2010 and has not looked back since.  She loves learning new genres of dance and incorporating them into her classes.  Outside of the studio, Colleen is a total book nerd and librarian.  She has most recently worked in elementary school libraries, teaching little dears how to enjoy their reading.  Feel free to ask for book recommendations after class!

Cristina Grieco

Cristina is originally from Brazil and has been dancing her whole life, in an international setting, including in Brazil, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Spain and the United States. Her specialties are Latin rhythms, such as Samba, Forró, Lambada, Salsa, Merengue, Cha-Cha, and Bachata.  She found teaching Zumba to be a great way to express her love for dance and fitness and to get people moving to fun choreographies. Dancing to this Latina represents her hobby, her escape from life’s tough situations, her fitness activity and her passion.

Jena Ertel

Jena’s first introduction to movement was as a small child when her mother would devise creative movement games for them to play that were physical, interactive and FUN. Thankfully, moving the body continued to be an enjoyable experience which soon drove her to seek a life and career sharing the joy of movement with others. She believes her purpose in life is to offer movement as a means to bring you closer to self, and build a strong body, mind and spirit. In Jena’s classes you can expect all of the things her mother instilled in her all those years ago: humor, creativity, and physically challenging movement. You will feel a sense of community with your fellow students, and leave glowing and feeling better than you did when you walked in. Jena comes with over 10 years of teaching experience to humans of all ages. Her journey so far includes receiving a BA in Dance from Columbia College Chicago, a certification in Dance Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and 200-hour certification in yoga instruction through Tejas Yoga with her amazing teachers James Tennant and Jim Bennitt. She is also currently completing an additional training in Sadie Naridini’s Core Strength Vinyasa.

Jenny Finkel

Jenny Finkel began doing yoga as a scoliotic, asthmatic 12-year-old after reading an article about it in Seventeen magazine. Now that she is kind of an adult, she teaches yoga full-time. She completed her 200-hour training with YogaWorks, and followed that with a 50-hour specialized training in Therapeutic Yoga for Cancer at Duke Integrative Medicine. She recently relocated from New Orleans to Chicago, where she is pursuing her 500-hour certification from Moksha Yoga. When not teaching yoga, Jenny performs and acts as Chicago Director for the non-profit comedy group Funny Bones Improv. Jessica Merar

Jessica is thrilled to be a part of Indigo Studio! Her passion for dance began at the age of 3 and continued throughout high school where she performed with the school’s dance troupe. She refused to let college studies get in the way of her desire to dance, so she continued to train and perform while at the University of Illinois. While her full time job at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is rewarding and fulfilling, she felt as though the creative movement piece was missing in her life, and would often take classes after work hours to fill that void. After subbing a few times at Indigo Studio, she realized she wanted to be a more permanent part of this incredible community. She was so excited to be able to create a Cardio Strip Dance class, but got hooked on Cheerobix and took the certification course in September of 2013. In January 2014, she received her very own squad and adores being a Cheerobix Captain in her weekly class. She would love for you to come shake your poms with her!

Jyl Fehrenkamp (Jyldo)

Jyl Fehrenkamp (Jyldo) teaches yoga and dance fitness classes in Chicago. A former modern dancer turned Jane Fonda-showgirl, Jyl’s Cheerobix class is filled with body rolls and a hip hop-inspired playlist. She has been a long-time squad member of the Power of Cheer and continues to perform her own creative work throughout Chicago at a variety of both seedy and somewhat classy venues. Jyl received her yoga teacher training from Yogaview, where she taught from 2009-11, and currently teaches yoga at Columbia College Chicago, Cheetah Gyms and Chicago Athletic Clubs. Her mantra for life: “When in doubt, step-touch it out”.

Stephanie Roldan

Stephanie’s love affair with all things dance and movement related started at the tender age of 2 1/2. It was then when she began taking her first ballet classes. It didn’t take long for her parents to realize that she loved moving those little feet and so began a life long relationship with dance. Stephanie has studied many forms of dance throughout her childhood and adult life. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the school of HPER. After a brief hiatus from dance, Stephanie has rekindled her fire and passion for movement with indigo studio. Also an RYT200 yoga teacher she has taught multiple classes at indigo but is most known for her “Bootcamp Ballerinas” class which was featured in SELF magazine! Stephanie would like to give BIG THANK YOU’s to Rhonda Kantor and Rita Knorr from Global Yoga as well as Jaclyn Jones formerly of indigo studio for giving her the space and confidence to do what she does best! In her classes, Stephanie strives to motivate and hopes to educate her students for she feels that through an educated and informed mind, a beautiful and graceful body can emerge.

Sue Koch

Sue has been involved in dance and fitness for most of her life. As an entrepreneur with her own social media business, Soaring Solutions LLC, teaching fitness classes is yet another powerful venue for Sue to provide transforming solutions and inspire people, while creating a fun, dynamic, energizing workout in a non-intimidating environment.
